Why not join our group? Here’s what you can expect from attending one of our tasks:
- – a day spent with a group of friendly and like-minded people
- – fresh air and a good physical workout
- – interesting locations in and around Congleton that you’ve probably never visited before
- – the satisfaction of having made a contribution to the preservation of the local environment
- – learn about the use of different tools and techniques that you may find useful elsewhere
- – and most of all, plenty of fun!
Is this right for you?
- – membership is free, all you have to do is get yourself to the task location (shared lifts often available)
- – we meet every other Sunday from 10.00 till late afternoon, weather depending – no skill or knowledge is required as training will be provided
- – you don’t have to be super fit, just reasonably active
- – you don’t need to bring any tools – everything is provided
- – there is no age limit but if you are under 18 you must be accompanied by a responsible adult
- – all you have to bring is suitable clothing, waterproof footware, packed lunch and refreshments
If you’re not sure, why not just come for a taster session. If it’s not for you, we’ll quite understand.
We are a very relaxed group with no rules or regulations. We only ask that you:
- – respect the Covid rules that we insist on
- – work in a way that does not endanger any other group members
- – take instruction from us in the use of any tools that you are not familiar with
